Dining Room Makeover

Married in the early 70's, we had a teak dining room suite like many other couples as it was 'in' back then.  When a good friend said she was selling her dark cherry set because of down sizing I was all for a change.  She said I could have it as soon as she sold her house.
Selling the teak wasn't hard as a young couple was eager to buy it and so we went through Christmas and Easter until now with an empty dining room and all my things packed away.  My friend sold her house last week and her call to 'come and get it', was music to my ears.

The new dining room set fits perfectly and the hutch has glass shelves with mirrors in the back and lights in the top, I couldn't be happier.  My table runner has butterflies on it (of course) and I've shown my tea cart and cloche that sits on another table.

Isn't it fun to have a change? A friend recently sold her teak set to a young couple - they were thrilled to have the 70's set. It's great when everything goes to a good home and everyone's pleased with their choice.
