A Christmas Lunch

Welcome friends for tea today.  Our 'Circle of Friends' group met for a Christmas lunch and had a delightful time catching up over a delicious meal.  We also exchanged gifts as we did last year.
From L to R:  my friend Marilyn who does not blog, yours truly, Valerie from Gardening in a Sandbox and Jennifer from A Garden of Threads.  I met Val and Jen through Master Gardeners and Marilyn and I belong to the same horticultural societies.  Since we all enjoy gardening and tea, forming a small circle of friends as suggested in a past Victoria magazine edition sounded like a good idea.
We decided to have our lunch at The Globe Restaurant which sits on a hill in the rural village of Rosemont. I had the tortierre which was excellent and as you can see below, presentation at this restaurant is awesome.
I'd like to leave you with a holiday treat I had at Tim Horton's the other day - candy cane white hot chocolate with whipped cream.  Decadent, and a perfect holiday drink - cheers!
I wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy new year.  Thank you for your friendship over tea and we'll gather again in the new year.
I'm linking with Sandi at Rose Chintz Cottage, Trisha at Sweetology, Kathy at A Delightsome Life and Bernideen at her Tea Time Blog.  Please join my hosts and their guests.

Dear Judith,
what a delightful way to go through the season of Christmas with such a treat. Meetings sweet friends and having a good time with treats (the imagination of candy cane white chocolate with whipped cream makes me dizzy) sounds just the right thing on such cold and rainy days.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you!
Best greetings, Johanna

You gals look rather chilly! How fun to meet up with each other again and on purpose. That Tim Horton drink looks like something I'll have to try.

Sounds like a wonderful group and what wonderful friendships you are nurturing. With all the cake I have eaten in the past 24 hours, I better stay clear of Timmy's ...or the 20 pounds I would like to see disappear will become 40...

Wishing you a wonderful Merry Christmas! Thank you for sharing such wonderful garden and tea inspirations throughout the year!! xo HHL

Judith, its so nice to be able to sit back a bit during this special time of year and enjoy visiting with friends such as your lunch. Such traditions are wonderful. That was quite a post before about your parent's cottage and it's replacement. How bittersweet for you and good you have the photos to help you remember. Have a good Christmas week!

Oh that took me back! The Globe was a favourite place 30 years ago - can't believe it's still there....more than 30 years, as a matter of fact. I used to love to visit a place not far from there called Granny Taught us How, then have lunch or tea at the Globe.
I loved the photo of the four of you - so nice to know that some of my favourite bloggers are friends in real life.

Hi Judith, What a lovely group of friends you are and how special to spend tea time together to celebrate your friendship at Christmas time. The meal you selected looks so yummy and the Tim Horton drink so delicious too. My hubby loves TH coffee and when we are in Michigan visiting family we pick up some to bring home to brew. We can't get Tim Horton here in Texas.
Wishing you a very special Christmas and many blessings in the new year.

Hugs, Celestina Marie
