A friend may ask another for their opinion and they expect to receive an honest opinion. I believe all of us have been asked for our opinion at some time or other and try to be helpful with our answer.
With a group of people there will be more than one opinion and an open mind is best to hear what others have to say.

Opinions, sometimes we are hesitant to express our opinions for fear of how they will be received. I do find the older (or is that more experienced) in life I get I am less hesitant to state my opinion as I'm not so worried about what others think.
I'm very opinionated. I just rarely share them publicly. Private thoughts that only come to the surface when I can't stay silent.

oh boy do I love this post..I have two older sisters who are full of OPINIONS on my life..I have learned to just go with zee flow...nod my yes to their opinions and do my own thing! HA!

That's an interesting topic! Opinions; we all have them. Sometimes I am hesitant to express my opinion because I was raised to keep my opinions to myself. It's nice when I am asked because it makes me feel like what I think, matters!

great post! It's my opinion that sharing an opinion when asked for one is always fine. Some of us, though, are too quick to offer any opinion at any moment without the slightest thought of the impact on others. I'm all for opinions...I have plenty of my own...but I'm also all for restraint in sharing them.

I have been informed many times that I am opinionated, that remark usually comes from someone who disagrees with me!
I've found that when my friends ask for my "honest" opinion, typically they just want me to tell them that they are right....

I think that opinions can sometimes be cruel, it is important to tell the truth but also be tactful. I have heard opinions of politicians and I think that they may be thinking AFTER they speak. Thanks for visiting my blog.

The older I get, the more careful I am about offering an opinion, when asked - unless by those very close to me.

I have learned over many years and many tears that opinions aren't wanted unless someone asks...and even then...they probably still aren't really.
