Always Room for One More

Welcome friends for tea this week.  Yes, there's always room for one more...teacup or teapot and recently hubby bought me a sweet little blue and white teapot with a built-in infuser.  The bottom says Dora Papis, Easy Life.
I've decided to set up my afternoon tea on the bottom shelf of the tea cabinet in the kitchen.  The quilted runner you see under the teapot is made by a local crafter and there's a different one on each shelf.
A few of my tea books can be seen displayed along the back.  If you like to read the Tea Shop Mysteries by Laura Childs, she has a new release called 'Sweet Tea Revenge' coming out on March 5, 2013.
I came home from an event on Sunday with the flowers from our table that has pink miniature roses and lavender calla lilies.
A slice of chocolate cake to have with my tea, calorie free of course!

My one and only blue and white teacup that has bachelor buttons (perennial cornflower) on it.  The tea brewing is Cream Earl Grey which has little snippets of the blue petals of this flower combined with the leaves.

What a thoughtful gift from your husband. Now you have an excuse to buy some blue & white teacups or jugs or plates to go with it :)

As a confirmed blue and white lover....your honey is a keeper! What a wonderful teapot he found you! The cake looks absolutely fabulous...but then it's chocolate. So fun the frosting coordinates! Thanks for linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

Oh, Judith, I love your teapot! How lovely and such a thoughtful gift from your hubby. That is a beautiful bouquet!
I am looking forward to reading the newest L Childs mystery. I have to order them from Indigo here because no one seems to carry them. I have two on order right now. I thoroughly enjoy them. Thank you for coming to tea and enjoy your week, my friend.

Blessings,
Sandi

Um belo presente. Adoro bules e este azul é lindo.

Bolo de chocolate é tudo de bom, mas o bom mesmo é esquecer as calorias.

Um belo chá.

Uma boa semana.

Lauriane.

Hi Judith,
what a sweet tea time. The tea pot is so pretty with the soft blue pattern. And the cake looks marvellous but not caloriefree. Who cares for calories when one can have such a treat. Thank you for sharing.
Best greetings, Johanna

That is a pretty and practical set up. I've actually bought myself a tea cupboard at Ikea for all my tea and tea-things. It's ridiculous but true :) And quite effective!

Stopping in from the link up!

Cute teapot and the quilted tablecloth is beautiful. I like the dark chocolate color of your cake contrasting against the blue and white. Teacup is wonderful. Glad to read that it's more than I like Earl Grey! I wish you a nice day! Zinnia
