Welcome friends for tea this week. I've collected a number of tea books and I do like the ones Emilie Barnes produces, including this one. I decided to browse through it while having my afternoon tea.
A few sweets I picked up at a church bazaar and just some 'Afternoon Tea' from Harrods.
Nothing special, just a relaxing afternoon tea amongst friends. Last year when I ordered a book and magazine from Hoffman media, they never arrived. I phoned the company and they sent both out a second time, but the same thing happened. A third mailing was sent, and wouldn't you know it, the second and third packages arrived a few days apart. Who knows where the original order went! Knowing how much the group of ladies that gather for tea each week like Victoria, scones and all things tea, it seemed fitting to have a giveaway with the extra book and magazine.
The winner for the book 'Scones & Tea' will be chosen from this post and the winner for 'Holiday Bliss' from my Wednesday Home post.
Two winners; all you have to do is leave a comment on both posts for a chance to win each of the publications. (to be fair, the same person cannot win both)
I welcome new followers and thank the ones that are already following Lavender Cottage. Let me know in your comment if you are already a follower.
The winners will be announced December 3. (open to Canadian & US residents only)
I'm joining these gracious hosts:
Sandi for Tea Time Tuesday
Ruth for Tuesday Cuppa Tea
Bernideen for Friends Sharing Tea
Terri for Tea Cup Tuesday
Kathy for A Delightsome Life
I invite you to make yourself a cup of tea and visit these ladies and their guests.

Oh YAY!!! Whoo hooooo a wonderful giveaway you are having, Judith!
Thank you for the opportunity- though I am truly sorry by the way you had come about the extras.
Sounds as though their customer service was awesome, though despite the length of time to finally receive.
Have a tealightful day!!

There is nothing like a bazaar for little goodies. I picked up some homemade jams on the weekend: blackberry, rhubarb and crabapple jelly.
I'd like to enter your giveaway, Judith, and (of course) already follow your blog.

Your tea time looks very pleasant...some treats, some tea, and some reading. Thank you for tossing my name into the cap.
Judith, fun give-a-way just in time for the Holidaze...!!!! Looks like you picked up some delicious sweets from the church bazaar and I think Afternoon Tea from Harrods sounds quite chic! Just think what stories our mail could tell over tea -- the adventures just getting to our door! Happy Tea Day!
Hi Judith,
sometimes strange things happens. once I ordered from Great Britain some tea trios. The seller told me that she can only send two trios in one parcel, so she had to send two parcels. One parcel arrived, one not. After a while she sent me another parcel, which arrived. A week later the postman brought me the missed parcel. He had a real guilty conscience, because this missed parcel was a week under the seat. In the end I paid all trios to be fair to the seller. Who knows, to whom your books were delivered. But nice, that you got replacement. The books look all really interesting. Thats a nice giveaway for a tea lover. And your treats look superyummy. Thank you for sharing.
Best greetings, Johanna
