Welcome friends for tea this week. I bought one of these personal brewing tea containers from David's Tea that is perfect for using loose leaves. After it brews, you sit it on top of your mug and the bottom releases the liquid. I first saw them when I was served with one in a tea room a couple of years ago.

Hubby and I love the small 6 inch carrot cake that I make and this time it has cream cheese frosting.
Delicious with a hot cup of tea. The recipe is on my recipes page at the top.
As we draw near the end of January which is National Hot Tea Month, I thought it might be fun to do a mosaic tribute to my favourite pastime of afternoon tea.

Now that is just so cute I almost can't stop grinning.
Drink more tea = life happier, huh?

I had no idea it was national hot tea month. I think I have drank more tea this month due to the cold than I have have any other month! I like your mosaic. Very appropriate for all of us tea lovers.
Well I didn't know about tea month either, but it's only fitting you let us all know about it now.

Hi, Judith
Very sweet! I always love your tea cups, pots and your mosaic.
This morning, we had a sheet of snow here.
Now the sun is shining and the snow has gone.
Be careful not have a cold, Tomoko.
This is really sweet!
Very pretty! My mother in law left some tea cups and saucers to my daughter and now my daughter is in love with collecting them. I'll be sure to send her the link to your lovely blog.
Thank you for stopping by and commenting on my post about Sciatica and Breakfast Muffins :)
Love your mosaic. Love your lavender teawares!
Your tea mosaic is so pretty with the little hearts on it, Judith.
Lovely collection for my favourite pastime, drinking tea!!
As an extra treat a lavender scone or biscuit would be wonderful!!

Here the month is over and I didn't know! But I did drink plenty of tea this month. Your mosaic is very creative! Leads us right into Valentines!

I love your mosaic! Clever you! Wonderful! I got one of those tea makers...a Brew T, from the Canadian designer 3 years ago at the Victoria Tea Festival. Love it! Will be at the festival again next month. Thanks for your lovely post and linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

The cake looks delicious! Happy Tea Time! :)
I love your mosaic, Judith! What a great job you did. I'm glad you like your new tea maker. However, it's that carrot cake that I wish I had a slice of right now and perfect that it's a small one.
I've had my eye on a similar tea pot - just waiting for it to come back into stock on Amazon!
That carrot cake looks perfect with some tea. Yummy!
What a fun way to make tea. And the cake looks delicious!

Everything in your posting is lovely...beautiful mosaic!
That is a wonderful little gadget for making tea! I introduced my DIL to David's Tea and now she's hooked! Love your sweet little carrot cake. I would be tempted to eat the whole thing by myself! ;) As always, Judith, it's lovely to have you stop by for tea. Hope you have a nice evening, my friend.
Blessings,
Sandi
Never knew they had a national tea day...wow..first for everything..Love that little carrot cake..Have a great new week with love Janice...
Oh my ! I need a slice of that cake about now - looks wonderful!
Thanks for stopping by and nice comment - I have passed it on to daughter.
Have a great wewk.
That carrot cakes looks so moist and delicious, Judith. Lovely tea table!..Christine
Hi Judith,
I did it...I have a post for the Tea events. This is going to be so much fun. Thanks for suggesting it!
I love carrot cake...mmmmmm. I've seen the personal brewing tea containers but with all the tea I drink (and hubby too) we have enough presses and pots to go around! They're a great idea though.
Jan ♥
Handy alternative to a teapot. Lovely looking carrot cake. There is only the two of us so a small cake is a good idea. I will keep this in mind.
That carrot cake does look yummy!
The perfect combination! I love carrot cake, could eat that 6" all by myself. :)
Blessings,
Cindy
Perfect treat for a cold, wintry day! I have gotten a bit lazy at 60. I bake all of my cakes in a bundt pan now. Easier to make and they come out very moist, but they're not nearly as pretty as your little carrot cake, Judith!
Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!
Hugs,
Zuzu
Love seeing your lavender tea set. I'll take one of your carrot cakes! I'm thinking I might need one of those personal brewing containers.
That cake looks delicious! I'm going to grab the recipe. Thanks!
You mosaic is sweet!
sandy :)
I do like those infuser teapots, and I think we are so blessed to have such a great variety of ways to make our tea these days!
Hi: I love the tea infuser tea pots. It is also so nice to know that tea lovers have a month we can celebrate. Have a wonderful week. Blessings, Martha
Hi Judith,
The cake you made looks delicious.
I had no idea that this month is the national hot tea month. Thanks for telling us.
Your new follower,
Felicity
Happy Hot Tea Month!
Your carrot cake is making my mouth water! It looks so delicious!
Your tea cup mosaic is very romantic. Lovely tea cups in there!
Hugs,
Terri
I think I would have preferred a cream cheese icing on my cake to - yours looks wonderful and HEALTHY!
Oh, I love the little tea-drinking angel. How sweet she is. This must be cake day in blog-land. I've seen some beautiful ones today. Carrot cake is one of my favorite as it is not too sweet and 'good for the eyes.' ha! Deb
Dear Judith,
Your carrot cake with cream cheese icing looks beautiful, yummy! I haven't seen a personal loose leaf brewing teaset like that one. Sounds awesome! Love your pretty tea mosaic! Thanks for sharing.
Have a wonderful day!
Blessings,
Lisa
How lovely! I will have you to lunch and you bring that cake. I was just reading Monique's post at La Table de Nana and she was talking about making a small batch of rolls. This is a great idea to make a 6 inch cake as there are only 2 of us too. I am going to give that a try. Yes, carrot and cream cheese - I adore that one.
I didn't know Jan. was National Tea month! No wonder I've been consuming gallons of it, trying to keep warm. LOL
I wanted to tell you that I captured some photos of a butterfly on my lilac bush this past summer & I immediately thought of you. I shall do a post with those photos soon. I also bought a butterfly cookie cutter, too. You've inspired me!
Now I'm off to check out that recipe...a small cake would be perfect for just the 2 of us & I adore carrot cake!
Thanks for sharing,
fondly,
Rett
Thank you, Judith. I love the second one, too. Thank you for your comment! I haven't understood if Tea with friends is an event or not. Could you explain it to me?
xoxo Bogomilla
Hello Judith! I'm going to have to look for one of those personal brewing tea containers - my daughter would LOVE it! Dearest would adore your carrot cake! I do appreciate you sharing with A Return to Loveliness,
