Tea Tribute

Welcome friends for tea this week.  I bought one of these personal brewing tea containers from David's Tea that is perfect for using loose leaves.  After it brews, you sit it on top of your mug and the bottom releases the liquid.  I first saw them when I was served with one in a tea room a couple of years ago.
Hubby and I love the small 6 inch carrot cake that I make and this time it has cream cheese frosting.
Delicious with a hot cup of tea.  The recipe is on my recipes page at the top.
As we draw near the end of January which is National Hot Tea Month, I thought it might be fun to do a mosaic tribute to my favourite pastime of afternoon tea.
I'm linking with Mosaic Monday.
And my weekly tea gatherings at:

I love your mosaic! Clever you! Wonderful! I got one of those tea makers...a Brew T, from the Canadian designer 3 years ago at the Victoria Tea Festival. Love it! Will be at the festival again next month. Thanks for your lovely post and linking to Tuesday Cuppa Tea!

I love your mosaic, Judith! What a great job you did. I'm glad you like your new tea maker. However, it's that carrot cake that I wish I had a slice of right now and perfect that it's a small one.

I would be tempted to eat the whole thing by myself! ;) As always, Judith, it's lovely to have you stop by for tea. Hope you have a nice evening, my friend.

Hi Judith,

I did it...I have a post for the Tea events. This is going to be so much fun. Thanks for suggesting it!

I love carrot cake...mmmmmm. I've seen the personal brewing tea containers but with all the tea I drink (and hubby too) we have enough presses and pots to go around! They're a great idea though.

Handy alternative to a teapot. Lovely looking carrot cake. There is only the two of us so a small cake is a good idea. I will keep this in mind.

Perfect treat for a cold, wintry day! I have gotten a bit lazy at 60. I bake all of my cakes in a bundt pan now. Easier to make and they come out very moist, but they're not nearly as pretty as your little carrot cake, Judith!
Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!
Hugs,
Zuzu

How lovely! I will have you to lunch and you bring that cake. I was just reading Monique's post at La Table de Nana and she was talking about making a small batch of rolls. This is a great idea to make a 6 inch cake as there are only 2 of us too. I am going to give that a try. Yes, carrot and cream cheese - I adore that one.

I didn't know Jan. was National Tea month! No wonder I've been consuming gallons of it, trying to keep warm. LOL

I wanted to tell you that I captured some photos of a butterfly on my lilac bush this past summer & I immediately thought of you. I shall do a post with those photos soon. I also bought a butterfly cookie cutter, too. You've inspired me!

Now I'm off to check out that recipe...a small cake would be perfect for just the 2 of us & I adore carrot cake!

Thanks for sharing,
fondly,
Rett
