Romancing the Senses

Welcome friends for tea this week and with Valentine's Day on Thursday, let's start the celebration now.
Heart from the Graphics Fairy
Valentine's Day is a sentimental occasion that romances the senses.  A simple bouquet of flowers from the grocer offers beauty and their sweet scent..
a lavender sachet fills the air with a fragrance that induces relaxation,
while books stimulate the mind.  Sipping a cup of tea brings a sense of calm to a busy day.  The teacup is Florence by Skye McGhie.
Homemade chocolate fudge...
and heart shaped sugar cookies appease a sweet tooth.
Hearts are everywhere for this special day...
Including the tea table.
Inside the covered heart shaped dish is what my sweetie bought me in Mexico last month for Valentine's Day..
Turquoise and silver jewellery, I'm a lucky gal to have such a loving and generous husband.
Wishing you a Valentine's Day that brings happiness and loveliness to feed your senses.

Hi Judith. The turquoise and silver jewelry is really beautiful. I like the teacup too. I guess I always associate Skie's china with the cream lace but red and white toile is so pretty too. Happy Valentine's Day to you! Hugs, Pam

This is such a pretty post, Judith, and I just love the turquoise and silver jewelry your husband gave you; I guess he's a keeper! (I bought a couple of little somethings myself, when I was in the southwest.)

I recognize the name "Helen Humphreys", but have not yet read any of her novels or poetry; I've seen her named linked to Wintergreen in the Kingston area and she's now on my reading list!

Happy Valentine's Day,
Karen
