Sunlit Sign

Hubby and I took a drive down to the lake to see how many were out ice fishing, not a lot as it was pretty cold and very windy.
But, on the way home we drove through some side streets and were amused to see this sign attached to the fence in front of a house.
We had actually driven by when hubby put on the brakes and the car in reverse.  He knows a good photo op for my blog when he sees it.  I wonder if the sign has brought the newly free person  any offers?
I'm linking with Karen at My Little Home and Garden for Sunlit Sunday.

Hello, Judith

What a pretty snazzy looking fishing hut! I think I had pictured them as dull, wooden structures, not a cheery red.

As for the sign, that's a first. Someone is looking on the bright side, I suppose. I'm sure there must be a story there...

That sign is so random!!! I want to look on the positive side and say they split really amicably and are really proud of themselves for being good to each other for the sake of the kids!!! Interesting to say the least!!!

I think the sign is great. Must think their life is important to everybody and had to share. :)

Hi, I love the pictures. You have a lot of snow. We have a little bit in The Netherlands at the moment. I was hoping for Spring, but have to wait a bit.
That sign is so funny !!!

Thank you, Judith for getting my day started with a giggle. That sign is great! I don't think ice fishing would be up my alley. I'm not that tough!

Ice Fishing!! Oh so cold-I grew up in Idaho and my Dad would take me ice fishing on the snake river!! I remember semi-frozen feet!!

Thanks for taking me down memory lane!

I have mixed feelings about the sign. True it may have been amiable but if children involved can be so sad. I like the ice fishing photo very much. To each his own.

I went ice fishing once oh so long ago and I hated it. I can't believe that someone would put a sign up on their fence saying Happily Divorced - I've been there but I like more privacy without announcing it to the world.

I have made myself a promise that I will go down the street and venture to the lake more to see the seasons...love your shots.

That sign is hilarious, Judith! I've never seen anything like that before. It does look very cold on the lake but those huts are quite cozy and some have nice heaters. Enjoy your week! Hugs, Pamela

I went ice fishing (once) but didn't like it because I got cold too fast! Of course we didn't have a fish shanty and were just standing out in the cold.
That sign is pretty funny! Obviously someone is a lot happier! Kudos to your hubby for backing up for a chance to take a picture!

Hi Judith, great photos... crazy ice fisher persons (hey, we have to be politically correct around here! LOL!)
Just as I told you the snow was going to leave us alone... HA! We received another 6" of the white stuff with more on the way with coming back to back storms tomorrow and again at the end of the week! sheesh! enough already
Talk again soon,

How totally funny! I join a meme almost every wednesday that's just for signs ...this would be really funny for that. And your husband is very kind to back up and stop like that for a photo-op (mine would do that do..we're lucky aren't we!)
