Last weekend we travelled to Toronto where I found several buildings with interesting architecture, the theme for this week's Inspirational Thursday at Little Red House.

What lovely and varied architecture is found in Toronto! The Hockey Hall of Fame must have been used for some other purpose in years past, right? That beautiful classical architecture just does not bring to mind the rough and often bloody sport!

Wow! You thought ahead and gathered some fine examples of Toronto architecture. The details on the second photo amaze me and, in fact, words have failed me because I don't even know enough language to adequately describe what I really like about it. I'll have to show John and see if he has the words.
Oh, I just love Toronto, and the architecture is outstanding. Your photographs are wonderful. I especially love when you are driving into Toronto and you see the buildings greeting you. We lived there for five years, and loved it.
The one city in Canada I have been to - 3 times during the l980's as friends lived there. I thought it was very clean - especially after driving through Detroit! Also the flowers were lovely!
What great pictures! I'm really drawn to the first one because the clouds add so much interest to the photo. The last picture reminds me a little bit of pictures I've seen of the Seattle Space Needle.
You may know that I live in the southeastern part of the U.S. When my dad was traveling a lot in his job many years ago, he spent a lot of time in Toronto, and he really enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing your great photos!
How beautiful! I would love to visit Toronto. I've only been to Canada ones, in British Colombia and it was very close to the border, so I didn't really have any chance to explore the country.
I was just in the Big City a few days ago, at the AGO. There is such a variety of old and new architecture, although the old seems to be getting lost in amongst the taller structures. Nice photos, Judith!
The hockey hall of fame building is historic and so stunning. I just love old buildings! The CN tower is interesting too. Is this one where you can go up in the tower? I have been in a few towers like this, the most famous being the Space Needle in Seattle. I hope to make it to Toronto (and your town) someday. So far, all of Canada I've experienced is Vancouver. I know there is a lot more beautiful country to see and I hope I get the chance. Blessings and hugs, Beth
I've been to Toronto twice and thoroughly enjoyed my visit - which never seemed long enough to take in all the attractions. Your architectural photos are lovely - I like the contrast between older and modern architecture.

Hi Judith, I do love Toronto... haven't been there in ages but your photos certainly reminded me of the nice times I've had when visiting. Hmmm, new hubby has never been, "gasp", maybe a trip is in order this spring or summer! Hugs, Beth P
I've never been to Toronto, although my husband lived in Willow Dale outside Toronto for 2 years when he was immigrating to the US from the UK many years ago. He didn't like the weather, so was glad when things finally got finalized for him to move to California. Lovely photos and it looks like such an interesting city. Ruth
