I like winter and the pretty scenes snowfalls create but about this time of year, I'm yearning for spring and to see green sprouts pushing through the soil.

I've taken an idea from blogging friend Karen when she feathered her nest. I figured if I did some spring feathering around the house that waiting for spring itself to arrive would be made much easier. The snowflake winter dishes were put away, spring and Easter decor brought from storage and a bouquet of delicate pink baby carnations have been put in the front hall way. I think it's helped already; have you started your feathering yet?
We can expect spring-like weather by mid-April where I live.
I'm linking with Mary at Little Red House for Mosaic Monday.

Lovely mosaic, very springy! Nice to think that there will be flower popping up and all the snow will be a memory. Have a happy week ahead!
Yes, we must be in similar zones as mid-April is about when spring shows up here, too.
Yes, I packed up winter last week as I was ready for a change. I even put away the twinkle lights.
Your mosaics are beautiful and I can see how doing these nesting things help get us over the rough patch called late winter.
Hello, Judith
I found myself doing some more "feathering" today. A few pictures were moved around and the dark coloured throws were put out of sight (but not yet out of reach; it was snowing today).
Both of your collages are beautifully done!

Beautiful collections for a collage! I have found that simple decorations make my seasons change too even though Spring is still a few weeks away!!...:)JP
Oh! That's a good idea, getting a head start on spring decor! I still have my snowmen up, perhaps I could replace them with something that says warmer weather!
Such a great idea to put the winter accessories away and bring out the spring pretties. Maybe the weather will take the hint not and follow suit. Valerie
Yes, I have. And we had the spring-like weather today to help the mood along. Great mosaics Judith. Don't the spring colours and the Easter decor help the mood inside too? Enjoy your week!
It was down right cold here in Florida today...our high was only in the 50s! lol I think I'll join you in some Spring decorating tomorrow! I'm ready for some cute bunnies and chicks! Hugs!
April!!! too late...no I think I would like it sooner. I shall put an order in...want you name added:)
Very nice mosaics, Judith. I like the snowy trees, and I also like the spring in your home. I like the bunny and the daisies, as well as the pink carnations. Looks very springy at Lavender Cottage...inside, that is. About 1 month to go!
Hugs, Beth
Both of your mosaics are lovely. I'm doing a little feathering of our nest - but there's nothing to take pictures of yet. It's like dominoes - a whole bunch of things need to line up first.
Hoping that spring makes an early appearance for you.
Pretty photos..they are both lovely.. I'm so glad the garden is available to me..I too was missing it..the days are getting warmer..Happy new week with love Janice
Hello Judith :)
Well, the countdown is on and it will be here before you know it! We try not to rush things (the way the stores tend to do, putting Christmas stuff out in Oct, for example) but I can relate to putting the winter items in storage and getting out some Spring decor! St Patty's Day items appear first in our home, then Easter goodies. Your pink Carnations are just lovely~ Happy March :)
Beautiful collage showing both with snow / and "Spring". Wishing you a good Monday :) Hanne Bente
The snow looks pretty but your spring collage really cheers you up
I love the spring
Yes more than ready although snow is headed this way now and it's freezing out there. Weather can't decide if it's ready to give way to Spring or not.

Hi Judith!
Your mosaic is lovely and the pink carnations are so pretty. It's cold here this morning and I'm sitting by the fire but it won't be long till Spring is here. Have a great week.

That looks so wonderful. Eventhough you don't have Spring outside the home. You do have Spring inside the home ; )
Enjoy !!!
Pretty mosaics! I put away my fabric valentine hearts and replaced them with primitive paper mache eggs this past week. And I finally have enough daffodils that I can cut a bouquet for the house!
Nice mosaic! :) yep I started a wee bit on the feathering too! :)
You have to feel better with Spring decor around your home. We actually went to the Dallas Arboretum this afternoon and saw the daffodils, tulips, pansies, hyacinths and azaleas. It was wonderful to get out among the beauty.
Hello Judith,
I envy your ability to make these mosaics. They are both really beautiful! I wish I could learn how to make them!
Like you I'm already yearning for full spring, although here trees and flowers are already blooming and a shy sun already making its appearance...
Hugs
you are certainly cheering up your home with your lovely decorating.
Have a wonderful week.
Wonderful contrast between the two collages. Your spring feathering looks awfully cheerful!
Very pretty Judith, and really like the mosaics...those spring, pastel colours awe inspiring~
I've done the same thing. Maybe if we all do it, we'll hurry it along. :) Your mosaics are very pretty ~ I love all your spring touches.
No, I haven't started my spring feathering yet. I like to wait for the "official" first day of spring and start pulling out all the yellow things then. But seeing your ideas, I may disregard the usual rules and bring spring into my home early this year!
Great reminder to get out the spring/Easter decorations...it is early this year.
