As I was leaving church a couple of weeks ago, I noticed the sun shining on the side of the building so took out my point and shoot and took a photo. The other side looked nice in the sunlight too where you can see the sign which says Lefroy United Church. Lefroy is one of the villages that make up our rural town.
I hadn't noticed there was a patch in the metal roof before - a little character maybe?
The church was built in 1902.

Your church is beautiful. I love the stone foundation, the brick and the gorgeous windows. The old churches have such character; it seems that many of the new church buildings in our area are metal buildings - no character there, not like the brick or wooden structures.

Those windows have a Gothic look. (Would you love to see a different roof on this wonderful building? I would. Something that complements the architecture would be lovely. It's not easy to maintain a church as so many are in decline. There are two churches in town that have closed because the membership got too old to sustain the church. It saddens me.)

This is a really beautiful old church. The color and shape is special for me as it is very different style from buildings in Japan. I like those windows. Also the blue sky and the snow capture my eyes!
It is still cold here but spring is knocking on my garden every day!
